Klein Tools Introduces Its Next-Generation 12:1 Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer

Thermometer features “Tough Meter” durability with two meter (6.6 ft.) drop protection

September 10, 2014 (Lincolnshire, IL) – Klein Tools (http://www.kleintools.com), for professionals since 1857, expands its “Tough Meter” Test & Measurement product line by offering a durable 12:1 Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer (Cat. No. IR2000A) to measure the temperature of transformers, motors, compressors, ducts, electrical circuits, valves, vents, etc. The IR2000A is a dual laser infrared thermometer that provides a more confident indication of the circumference of measurement than a single laser gun. With dual lasers, the gun measures the temperature of a circular area that falls between the two laser points, providing a clear measurement area. In addition, drop protection of up to two meters or 6.6 ft., makes the 12:1 Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer a tough, reliable meter for the job site.

The 12:1 Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer (Cat. No. IR2000A) product features include dual laser targeting¸ tight distance-to-spot ratio, a wide temperature measurement range, auto temperature scan, two meter (6.6 ft.) drop protection, Fahrenheit or Celsius readings, a K-type thermocouple, backlit display, work light, auto power off, and several sampling modes to make the best possible measurements.

“Usability and durability are of paramount importance to our customers,” states Sean O’Flaherty, senior product manager at Klein Tools. “To address these needs, the IR2000A has been developed to include dual lasers to provide a more confident measurement area along with a best-in-class two meter drop protection designed to survive the rigors of the job.”
