Tradesman TV: Season Finale

We’ve officially wrapped production on our first year of shooting Tradesman TV!

We had the entire crew back in the studio recently to shoot the last few episodes of the year, so I thought I’d give you a little sneak peek of what’s coming up for this exciting and informative new series.

In this first year, our mission for Tradesman TV was to give you an in-depth look at some of the new products that Klein Tools produced throughout the year. We talked with our experienced product managers to demonstrate and explain the features of these new products. Then we talked with tradespeople like you who had been using these new tools and products on the job to get their opinion of how these tools perform in real world environments.

For this week’s final production shoot of the year, we decided to go on a little different route. Though you will see episodes featuring our Made in the USA meters and the cool new Tradesman Pro Lighted Tool Bag, Klein Tools isn’t just about making great tools.

One of the things we take great pride in is our incredible partnerships with training centers around the country. We’ve not only been able to provide Klein products as teaching tools in the trade classrooms, but also other teaching resources as well. Barnaby got a lesson on all of those efforts from Steve, the head of our trade school outreach program. If you are an apprentice, training center director, or instructor, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for that Tradesman TV episode.

If you’ve watched past episodes, you’ve seen Barnaby talk about getting connected with Klein via social media. That is important, but we also make a huge effort to go directly to you, the tradesperson, too.

Though he wasn’t too thrilled about wearing makeup on camera, our man-on-the-street (er…jobsite) Gary had no problem telling Barnaby how much he enjoys going out to jobsites to talk to you guys about Klein tools. Just so you know, Gary isn’t just some sales guy. This guy was an electrician for MANY years before coming to work for Klein. Watch his episode of Tradesman TV to find out why you REALLY want him to come out to your jobsite (hint: free tools to try out)

Now, all of our Tradesman TV episodes are good. But like any great TV series, we’re going to save the best episode for last…an interview with Klein Tools Chairman Mathias Klein III.

That would be the great-great grandson of the founder, Mathias Klein, and part of the fifth generation of Klein family members now running the company. Yeah….this is gonna be big. Mat III has been with the company for more than 40 years and he has some pretty great stories to tell from the day he started (as a shipping clerk) until now (Chairman of the Board). Thanks to Tradesman TV, you will get to hear some of those stories. My personal favorite story was about his now-famous friend who had much bigger success in Hollywood than he did in tool manufacturing.

Lots of exciting episodes are coming up. In the meantime, definitely check out our past episodes. We’ve featured the new Switch Drive and Power Tool Accessories product lines, the All-Purpose Pliers, new VDV products like the Cushion Grip Punchdown Tool and Commander tester, our sleek new Electrician’s Insulated Tools, and our latest episodes on the exclusive new Foam Wire Pulling Lubricant. You can view all of the past episodes by clicking here.

Also, we are starting to plan out our Season 2 of Tradesman TV that will start production next year, and we could use your help! Have a great idea for an episode? Are there any Klein products or things about Klein in general that you want to know more about? Tell us via social media: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.
