Thanks for the Recognition

It was a busy end to 2015/start of 2016 for us here at Klein Tools! If you hadn't noticed, we've launched a LOT of exciting new products in the last few months! As you can imagine, it's kept us pretty busy. So busy, in fact, that we are just now sitting down to all the great reviews and feedback we've received on these new tools.

Naturally, we're very proud of all of the tools we produce for the trade. A lot of thought and research goes into the development of those tools. And we're always hopeful that they deliver the quality and purposeful use that we try to instill in all our products.

But it's also very nice to see others recognizing our hard work, and I wanted to take a moment to share some particularly nice recognition we've received recently. We are truly appreciative of their kind words!

Popular Mechanics has been particularly kind to our tools in the last couple of months. They included not one, not two, but THREE of our tools in their 20 Best New Tools in 2015 list. Highlighted were the Adjustable Screwdriver, the Non-Contact Voltage Tester with Flashlight, and our next generation All-Purpose Pliers with Crimper!

Klein Tools - CL800 Clamp Meter

Then, the following month, Popular Mechanics named our CL800 Clamp Meter the Best New Tool. It was a really great write-up on all of the great features of this new TOUGH METER. This includes the low impedance function, which isn't found on many clamp meters, but can be an incredibly useful feature to have. See what they had to say about it:

"An especially helpful feature is the Klein meter's LoZ, or low impedance, setting. Ordinary meters can indicate a voltage when none is present due to a phenomenon known as capacitive coupling. This occurs when unenergized wires are in the presence of energized ones, creating a form of capacitor. Without the LoZ setting, a typical meter will read a voltage when none is present, and this can be particularly vexing when you're using the meter to check for a dead circuit. You can't be sure that the circuit is really dead. The Klein's LoZ setting helps you determine if the effect is real, or merely capacitive coupling."

Tools in Action - Annual Tool Awards 2015 Winner

The guys over at Tools in Action are always good about giving their honest (and very entertaining) feedback on the newest tools, so we were quite humbled to see they named us Best Hand Tool Brand for the second year in a row!

Here's what they wrote:

"Whenever we get a hand tool we compare it to Klein quality. Rarely does any other hand tool match up to the workmanship and quality that goes into a Klein tool. The fit and finish are perfect every time. Ask any electrician and he will have a Klein tool in his belt with a story. Klein also manufactures most of its hand tools right here in the USA. If you want the best, Klein is the way to go."

Wow...just so cool to read something like that!

We're really thankful to publications like Popular Mechanics and trade bloggers like Tools in Action for helping us get the word out about our exciting new products, but you can be one of the first to know when they launch by signing up for the Klein Tradesman Club, 'LIKE' our Official Facebook Page, or follow us on Twitter.
