Adds Two New Long-Nose Pliers To Its Journeyman™ Line Of

CHICAGO, IL
— January 2003 — Klein Tools has added two, side-cutting,
long-nose pliers to its Journeyman™ line of premium tools
for trade professionals.
The two new long-nose pliers (Cat. Nos. J203-6 and J203-7) measure
6-5/8" (168 mm) and 7-1/8" (181 mm) in overall length.
They join the existing 8-1/2" (216 mm) long-nose pliers previously
introduced by Klein.
Journeyman pliers feature a state-of-the-art, dual-material handle
design that gives the tool a better, more comfortable grip without
sacrificing handle strength or durability. The soft, outer-surface
handle material feels more comfortable in the hand and provides
a firmer grip. The harder, black material on the inner-surface
and handle ends is designed for extra toughness and durability
in harsh work environments.
The new long-nose pliers also feature side-cutting knives at the
hinge for cutting wire; induction hardening of those knives for
long tool life; knurled jaws for bending and forming wire; a hot-riveted
joint for smooth action with no handle wobble; a contoured thumb
area with a flared thumb rest for added comfort and a positive
feel; and color-coded yellow handles for quick tool identification.
In addition to the new 6-5/8" and 7-1/8" long-nose pliers,
Klein offers 15 other Journeyman tools: two heavy-duty long-nose
pliers; six side-cutting pliers; four diagonal-cutting pliers;
one pair of pump pliers; one high-leverage cable cutter; and one
crimping/cutting tool. Manufactured of custom, U.S.-made tool
