Klein Tools Adds New Multi-Cable Cutter To Its KLEIN-KURVE™ Line

CHICAGO, IL – June 2002 – Klein Tools has introduced the KLEIN-KURVE™ multi-cable cutter, a specialty tool designed with three different cutting blades. The multiple-blade design allows the professional tradesman to cut various types of solid, stranded and multi-pair cables with the same tool. Plus, the 4 inch KLEIN-KURVE handles provide the user with a firm grip and better leverage when reaching into confined spaces.

The multi-cable cutter features a copper curved blade, designed to cleanly cut round copper cable without compression or frayed ends. There is also a steel cutter for mild conductors. Finally, there is an anvil cutter on the tool’s tips, for cutting copper and stainless steel in tight spaces. The tool also has holes for clean shearing of 6-32 and 8-32 screws.

Other features on the multi-cable cutter include hardened-steel precision-ground cutting blades; double-dipped comfort grips; a coil spring for fast self-opening action; holes for looping and bending wire; easy-to-read markings on the tool; and a handy closure lock for convenient storage.

The KLEIN-KURVE multi-cable cutter measures 7" in length (177 mm). Maximum cutting capacities are as follows:

- Copper curved cutter: 8 AWG solid copper; 6 AWG stranded copper; 22-24 AWG (up to 1/2" diameter.) copper multi-conductor and multi-pair/unshielded twisted pair; and RG-6, RG-6 Quad, RG-59 and RG-62 coaxial cable.

- Anvil cutter: 12 AWG copper; and up to 0.032" diameter stainless steel.
