Klein Tools® Recognized for Over 100 Years of Family Business Success

Receives 2012 Illinois Family Business of the Year Century Award

December 7, 2012 (Lincolnshire, IL) – Klein Tools (http://www.kleintools.com/) for professionals since 1857, was chosen by the Family Business Center at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business to receive their 2012 Century Award. Klein Tools Chairman, Mat Klein III, accepted the award at a Gala on November 27th. The Century Award specifically honors Illinois-based family companies that have been in business for 100 years or more, recognizing their success and longevity.

"Thanks to the four generations of Klein’s who led the company through its first 100 years," said Klein in his acceptance speech. "Their hard work and sacrifices built the strong foundation upon which Klein Tools business and family philosophies are based today. And to the next three generations, who have continued that commitment, to preserving Klein Tools as a family owned and managed business."
