Tools Adds New 20" Sizes and Shoulder Strap To Its Line of
Canvas Tool Bags With Multiple Pockets

CHICAGO, IL
– December 2003 – Klein Tools has added new 20"
sizes (Cat. Nos. 5002-20 and 5003-20) to its line of rugged-looking,
extra-strong canvas tool bags (5002 and 5003 Series). The Klein®
tool bags, featuring internal pockets of various shapes and sizes,
are now available in 16" (41 cm), 18" (46 cm) or 20"
(51 cm) in length, with either a leather or vinyl bottom.
In addition, the 5003 Series of canvas tool bags with leather
bottoms is now available with shoulder strap mounts. The strap
mounts accommodate a padded, adjustable 2" wide shoulder
strap (No. 58889), sold separately, for comfortable, hands-free
carrying. The contoured shoulder strap features Tough-Tek®,
a non-marking, anti-slip material that maintains grip, wet or
dry. The shoulder strap secures to the bag with zinc-coated, corrosion-resistant
hardware, and adjusts for universal sizing.
The 16" bags have 8 interior pockets, the 18" bags have
10 interior pockets, and the 20" bags have 14 interior pockets.
The 16" and 18" bags are 14" (36 cm) deep and 6"
(15 cm) wide, and the 20" bags are 15" (38 cm) deep
and 6" (15 cm) wide, large enough to carry a wide assortment
of tools, small parts and accessories. The leather-bottom bags
also have one exterior pocket for extra storage. All bags feature
a wide opening steel frame mouth with a hinge for quick, easy
access to tools.
Constructed of highly durable, No. 8 natural canvas, Klein canvas
tool bags are built tough to stand up to everyday use and abuse
on the job site. The reinforced bag bottom extends 3" up
the sides of the tool bag. It is designed to support heavier tools
and to block moisture from entering the bag. The 6-stud bottom
reinforcement also provides extra durability at the bag’s
wear points.
Bag bottoms come in a choice of two materials: black leather or
vinyl. The leather-bottom bags feature 2"-wide, polypropylene
web handles. They also come with a black retaining strap, leather
handle wrap, and an external tool loop in the handle webbing.
The vinyl-bottom bags have two black harness leather handles and
retaining straps.
