Adjustable Torque Wrenches

Klein Cat. Nos. 57000, 57005 and 57010

Description

This torque wrench is a precision torque limiting tool. It was thoroughly tested and inspected before it left the factory and with proper care, will give years of dependable service. The wrench consists of a steel case enclosing a precision power spring, a torque signaling mechanism, a ratchet drive tang at the head of the case, and an adjustable hand grip with a locking device at the other end. The case and grip have calibration markings that are read in the same way as a micrometer.

Operation

Install a socket or adaptor on square drive. Unlock grip lock by turning to the right, and adjust grip to desired torque setting. Turn grip lock to the left to lock grip. With wrench installed on fastener, apply a steady pressure on the grip.

Note: Wrench will limit torque in the right hand direction only, but can be used to loosen fastener if the rated capacity is not exceeded.

When torque applied equals the setting on the grip, the wrench will automatically release through approximately a 10° arc. This release, or break-away, can be distinctly felt and heard by the operator and signals that the operation is complete. Upon release of pressure on the grip, the wrench resets itself and is ready for the next operation.

Repair Service

If repair or adjustment becomes necessary, it is recommended that the wrench be returned to the factory. A well equipped repair department is maintained where, for a nominal charge, the wrench will be restored to "like new" condition. Send to:
